The other day in the mail I received a package from Yahoo. About 2 plus years ago I did some unsuccessful PPC marketing on Yahoo for an old site of mine. I have not used Yahoo since. However in mail was a box from Yahoo. What could they want from me?
I opened the box and found a round pushable Yahoo “That was Eazy Button” that exclaims the Phrase YAHOOO when ever it is pushed. Oh how annoying, especially when an 8 year old gets a hold of it, and it’s YAHOOO every other minute in various parts of the house with a cynical laugh after each push and sound bite.
Is this a viable marketing campaign? Is Yahoo branding itself effectively? With an apparent Microsoft acquisition in the works is this efficent?
So did you receive a Yahoo Button? If you were a paid search client in their PPC campaigns from at least 2 plus years ago you should have. Maybe you were lucky and it got lost in the mail.
