Google Releases Keyword Tool External with Accurate Search Traffic Numbers

Google released its new Keyword Tool External tool which relays Accurate Traffic Data for Keyword Terms!!

With the new Google tool you can search for any keyword or keyword phrase. The results will use latent systemic technology to bring you related keyword and an entire keyword list related to your search term.

The first column results will show Advertiser Competition. You will see a bar graph representing the number of advertisers that are bidding on each of the keyword phrase in you results. From this you can determine quickly whether a PPC Adwords campaign will require a high bid price and large budget.

The center column show the traffic search data for the prior month, but the most important factor is the last column. ( Pictured Below)

From other data research we know that about 42% of users will click on the #1 ranked site in the generic SERP result for their search term.

By using the 42% model we can get an idea of how much traffic will come to the #1 result by taking the Google Data and multiplying it by 0.42 In our example above for the first result of the term “Keyword Tools” an average of about 18,100 people searched for that and the #1 Google results website would receive about 7602 click through traffic.
