I have many clients that currently are using blogs as one of their main website sources. I get asked questions everyday in regards to SEO and SEM. Lately most of the questions have been about optimizing their blogs.
There are many plug-ins available currently that will allow you to make your blog more SEO friendly. However the basics Rules of SEO still apply, regardless if you have a static website or a ever changing blog.
You must create the proper linking structure, create the proper meta tags, create the proper keyword rich anchor text etc etc etc.
The biggest benefit that a blog has to offer is the RSS and ping Feeds. Make sure each and every post has a link that utilizes a keyword anchor link back to your site. A signature tag if you will.
